Gilmore Girls A Year In The Life - Winter - Review

Hi, Everyone!!

We are here! We have reached our destination. I will be reviewing each episode bit by bit forming my own opinion and giving a prediction at the end of what the characters would be like in the future if the show came back again, which I hope it does.

First episode - Winter.

*ALSO SPOILERS*

The first episode is pretty much the beginning, you've just sat on the sofa and your about to get comfortable. That is what this episode was about, it was starting up again getting us settled back into the lives of the Gilmore Girls and the local townsfolk of Stars Hollow.

Rory moved out of her Brooklyn apartment and has scattered her boxes in many places from Lane's, to even Emily's house. Her career is not going as well as she had hoped for and is in a relationship with a man for 2 years and completely forgets about him when he walks out of the room, it starts off funny but gets a bit annoying that she forgets to break up with him. She also flys off to London meets a woman she wrote a piece in the New York Times and is in a partnership of writing a book with her while having an illustrious fling with LOGAN HUNTZBURGER!, yes the man she said no when he proposed to her. They have what Rory calls it "What Happens in Vegas. Stays in Vegas" relationship while he is engaged to another woman. Not only is she doing a repeat with what she did with Dean when she lost her virginity but they both don't seem to care about it.

The Dragonfly Inn is not the same without Sookie, Sookie has been gone off for a sabbatical and then lives on a farm so she is away from the inn for such a long time and even Lorelai and Michael are not agreeing with the temporary chefs. Lorelai's relationship with Luke is good but they having thoughts about going a bit further like having their own child, which they then go and see Paris about getting a surrogate mother but Luke is not too keen on the idea of how the process of the fertility stuff goes and says no.

There is a big hole left on the whole Gilmore family since Edward Hermann did not get to see the show coming back and passed away at the beginning of 2014. The show honoured his memory and had to say farewell to a beloved TV father. Lorelai stays with Emily until the end of the wake and embarrasses Emily by not remembering a good memory of her father. Both Rory and Lorelai are concerned for Emily and Lorelai suggests that she should go and seek therapy for Richard. And the funniest thing about it all is Emily inviting Lorelai to join her to therapy and the final line in the episode "Oh My God I am going to therapy with my Mom"

I have to say that this is a good episode and a great episode to get back into the lives of the Gilmore Girls. But it is not the best compared to what's in store for the other three seasons. I have to say that it was great to see the characters of Stars Hollow, Kirk's buisness of ooober, which did not go so well. And seeung Gypsy and Patty but I was mostly shocked to see Bootsy because I think he was last seen in Season 2 which was a lifetime ago. If I gave it a five-star rating, I would give it a 3.5. So many feelings over this show and so many tears coming down from my eyes over the missing person at the end of the table and also the pain of Emily dealing with the death of a 50-year-old marriage.

I hope you are having a lovely day

See you soon
