Spring 2016

So Spring has finally come around the corner. Although I feel that it has been Spring since January. It wasn't as cold as it was last year and I saw the sun (I know it can that be), only joking but it was very strange to see Cherry Blossoms blooming in the middle of January.
So I have been walking to work for the last couple of days due to the fact that I have no money and my bus pass ran out at the end of last week. It was a little sad but I knew that I would have extra time in bed.
It was a very nice sunny day and I was walking home from work and I took some photos on my phone. Just incase you were curious, my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S6 and I love this phone.

I really enjoy Spring. I love seeing the flowers starting to bloom, the sun is shining but there is that hint of cold fresh air that I love.
During the Springtime I always take photos of flowers and other spots of nature. I even like photos on instagram of scenery and nature because a picture is wor…

Book Review: Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard

Mare's blood is red- the colour of common folk- but her Silver ability, the power to control lightning,, has turned her into a weapon that the royal court tries to control.
The crown call her an impossibility, a fake, but she makes her escape from the prince and friend who betrayed her, Mare uncovers something startling: she is not the only one of her kind.
Pursued by the Silver King, Mare sets out to find and recruit other Red and Silver fighters to join the struggle against her oppressors.
But Mare finds herself on a deadly path, at risk of becoming exactly the kind of monster she is trying to defeat. Will she shatter under the weight of the lives that are the cost of rebellion? Or have treachery and betrayal hardened her forever?
(Description from Goodreads)
Goodreads Star Rating: 3/5
I read Red Queen after I came back from Thailand and the story was really good. I enjoyed the fact that Mare had to stand on her own two feet knowing that she is a Red in a sea of Silver…

Book Haul

I had forgotten to write up my book haul at the end of January, so I apologise that this is late.

This is a mix of new books that I haven't read before. I sort of gave myself a goal at the end of 2015 to try something new and by new I mean books. I was very restricted to YA books last year and I wanted to change that.

A Vintage Wedding by Katie Fforde

A Wild Sheep Chase by Haruki Murakami (it even comes with 3D glasses)

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes Yes I am late to the party. After seeing the movie trailer I knew that I was going buy the book.

The Year of the Runaways by Sunjeev Sahota Recommended by one of the employees of Waterstones, he said he really enjoyed it.

Glass Sword by Victoria Aveyard YES! IT'S HERE! I have it in my hands.

Hookah by Cameron Jace

Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin

Batman: The Dark Knight Vol 1 Knight Terrors by David Finch

Hawkeye Vol 1 My Life As A Weapon by Matt Fraction

Justice League Dark Vol 1 by Peter Milligan

Jessica Jones: Alias Vol 1 by Bria…

Music Loves (No.3)

I have done two blog posts about some of the music that I have been listening to and I want to continue with it.

Note: I have a very strange taste in music, I like to listen to music from South Korea more specifically from Korean Dramas.

1. Kisum- LOVE TALK feat Hwa Sa of MAMAMOO

I found this song by accident and I really love it. Kisum is a rapper who was part of a variety show called Unpretty Rapper which was a show based on female rappers. This song has a very chilled tone of music, it's a perfect song to listen in the car or on a walk.

2. Sojin (Girls' Day) - Everyday With You

This song if from the Korean Drama Reply 1988 which finished last month. I thoroughly enjoyed this drama. This drama follows the similar storylines of it's pre-successors Reply 1997 and Reply 1994. I really liked all the songs that were in the drama but I particularly liked this song the most. I highly recommend you check this drama out, it's very funny.

3. Kang Hyun Min - Such (feat Hyuna J…
