End of the Year Wrap Up

Hey, Everyone!

Hope you are enjoying your Christmas Holiday.

So we are nearing the end of the year, which is surprising as to how time flies by. But I am ready for new reads for next year and maybe some changes. I have been planning out a schedule for my blog and how I want to keep up to date with it.

But before we start the new year. Let's catch up on the books that I have read during November and December.

How to Find Love in a Bookshop by Veronica Henry

Goodreads Star Rating: 4/5

I have to admit that I enjoy a good chick lit book and this is a perfect book to read during the Christmas holiday. The book is set around Christmas and while reading it, it has a great excitement for the holiday.

The Book of Life by Deborah Harkness

Goodreads Star Rating: 5/5

I finally finished the All Souls series. This book took a while for me to finish but I was happy that the book had a great conclusion to a great trilogy.

In a Dark Dark Wood by Ruth Ware

Goodreads Star Rating: 4/5

Books I Want To Get To In 2017

Hey, Everyone!

We are reaching the end of the year. Ahh!! where has time gone? This year has been a great reading year and with 2017 coming round the corner, it is time to get back on that high horse and get reading.

Compared to the end of 2015, my TBR shelf decreased by a lot and it seems that I have gained more books than actually reading them this year. Currently, on my TBR shelf, I have 60-70 books unread. It's crazy to think that I bought so much this year and that amount of books is not going away. I think I set too much reading goals for myself that I had grown sluggish and unmotivated to pick up those books. Especially to the end of the year, I noticed that I was barely reading every night and I was trying to keep my book purchases to a minimum of 4 books. So I AM doing a book ban at the beginning of 2017, just until I have decreased my TBR pile to about 20 books. It is a bit of a struggle but hopefully I will succeed in this challenge.

Anyway moving on from my ramble and …

Book Haul No. 19

Hey, Everyone!

How are you?

So I wasn't sure if I would do an end of the year Book Haul or keep it monthly as I usually would do. But then I saw the pile of books and started reading a couple of them, I thought it would be better to share with you the books I got WHILE Christmas shopping, I wasn't just getting books just for the hell of it. It was actually because I got books for my Dad and brother for Christmas and thought I would treat myself with a job well done by buying more books, not a nice cup of coffee because then your hand will ache with all the bags you are carrying from Christmas shopping and then you would have to struggle with the coffee cup while getting on the bus and off. It's a weird hypothesis but it's a code I live by.(I can also imagine Lorelai Gilmore doing the exact same thing)

I have 8 books to share with you so let's go...

Starting with Autobiography...

The Princess Diarist by Carrie Fisher

I have been unaware that Fisher was a published au…

My Bullet Journal

Hey, Everyone!

Long time no see

I am sorry that I have been gone for a while. After my Gilmore Week and my review of each of the episodes, I needed a break from blogging for a while but I am back and ready to blog some more.

While I was gone from blogging I had a bit of a change around in terms of reading. I wasn't reading as much as I had hoped in the month of November and I felt that the remainder of the year will be just the same. So far reading has been alright, I even have been listening to audiobooks on Audible which is a change to listening to music on the bus.

Anyway moving on from books and onto my Bullet Journal.

I discovered Bullet Journaling during the month of January this year. A book blogger that I follow did a blog post about her getting int Bullet Journaling and I thought I would give it a try.

If you are ever interested in Bullet Journaling, I highly recommend it and also you can find any tips from Youtube and Pinterest which is where I found inspiration from.

Gilmore Girls A Year In The Life - Fall - Review

Hi, Everyone!

We have finally reached to the final episode and bring on the tears.

Fourth and Final Episode - Fall

So we see Lorelai doing Wild, the book, not the movie, she tries to go off to the hike only to be turned because she doesn't have a permit but there was also two cameos from Lauren Graham's Parenthood co-stars, one being Peter Krause who was Lauren's brother on the show but in real life they are a couple and Jason Ritter who was a love interest in Parenthood for Lauren. Even though she was unable to hike she decides to drive off somewhere and get coffee, of course, and while she is searching for coffee and can't find it she walks around the back of the store and starts walking. She reaches to the top of somewhere and seeing the view, she remembers something and calls Emily. She tells her a story of how she got dumped by a guy and got so embarrassed that she ditched school and was walking around the mall, while she was starving and upset Ric…

Gilmore Girls A Year In The Life - Summer - Review

Hi, Everyone!

We have reached Summer and things are definitely are heating up in the lives of the Gilmore Girls.

Third Episode - Summer

The show starts off with everyone in town happy that Rory has moved back while Rory denies that she is back. There is also the 30s crowd who are pretty much in the same boat as Rory but she doesn't want to be part of it, understandable. The news that the Stars Hollow Gazette is shutting down because the current Editor decided to retire and Rory isn't pleased with the idea and requests to take over the Gazette. Rory tries to change things in the newspaper which everyone doesn't like but the scene where Rory and Lorelai deliver every single newspaper throughout the town is hilarious, with the constant banter over which side is East and West. But a startling surprise is Lane working at Kim's Antiques, huh go figure.

Lorelai is feeling left out when Michael wants to leave the Dragonfly Inn, which is very sad and the talks o…

Gilmore Girls A Year In The Life - Spring - Review

Hi, Everyone!

You have reached to the second episode. If you have already gone through the first packet of Milk Duds, I suggest you go out and buy more because we are going through the nitty gritty of the show. So let's get started before you've finished that bowl of popcorn.

Second episode - Spring

The show starts off with Lorelai and Emily in therapy, they are both not talking about anything. All three women (therapist included) sit in the room for an hour in silence.  They both struggle to find anything to talk about but with the dismay from Lorelai, Emily asks the therapist on her opinion of a 16-year old girl getting pregnant and leaving the house with the little girl. It shows that Emily wished to have been included in the upbringing of Rory's life. And also mentioning a letter that Lorelai had no idea what Emily was talking about which also lead to Lorelai walking out of the session angry and hurt.

Rory is breaking down career wise. She has been houn…
