Do you listen to music while you read?

So back when I was still at school or at college I would always read a book and listen to music on my iPod. I would do that on the bus, in my bedroom, in the car and sometimes on the toilet.
But as much as you like listening to your music and read at the same time, you tend to get very weird combinations.
So when I first read Twilight(many years ago), I had gotten a movie soundtrack CD for my birthday and I would listen to that soundtrack while reading Twilight. The strange thing was, that CD was Step Up 2 The Streets Soundtrack (Crazy! I know). But the odd thing was, is that everytime I would think of a song from the soundtrack I will immediately think of Twilight Or if I pick up the book and start reading it, strangely 369 by Cupid ft B.O.B. would pop into my head. 7 years later, I think it is a ridiculous combination and I can't get rid of it.
So here is my two tips into creating a perfect music combination.
1. Movie Soundtracks. Not the ones with famous singers(That is distractin…

January Wrap-up

So I thought I would change my blog posts around.
I thought I would do the end of the month wrap-up as an easier way to write about the books that I have read in month and I would choose which book that I liked the most as a book review.
So on with the wrap-up.

Note: No one asked me to do this, I thought it would be a better idea to organize it this way. Enjoy.

In total I have read 8 books this month.
So the first book that I read at the beginning of the year was Veronica Mars The Thousand Dollar Tan Line by Rob Thomas and Jennifer Graham. Since I have already did a full blog post of the book I will leave the link here.
The second book I read next was Cinder by Marissa Meyer. I have also done a book review so I will leave the link here.
The third book I read after Cinder was Scarlet, the second book in the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer.

Scarlet takes place right after the events from Cinder, Cinder is imprisoned and has now been publicly known as a Lunar and a disfigured Cyborg who is set…

Cinder (The Lunar Chronicles) by Marissa Meyer

Cinder by Marissa Meyer. Published January 2012.
A mix between Science fiction and fairy tales. This book is about a half-human half-cyborg and a gifted mechanic called Cinder. She lives with her step-mother and two step-sisters in New Beijing. Her life is then intertwined to Prince Kai, she then discovers secrets about her past.
This book is amazing. I could not put this book down. I have never read a style of book like this before and I loved how Marissa Meyer incorporated the most known fairy tales from your childhood and twist it into something that is amazing.
I love Cinder, she is so lovable and understanding. She has always been told by her step-mother and step-sister that she is a cyborg and she has always believed it herself. But when she discovers that she isn't just a cyborg, she sees into a new life and her new identity.

I like how Marissa Meyer included characters from the fairy tale and made them into similar characteristics into the book. Adri (Cinder's ste…

Middle of January Book Haul.

So January 2015.
I has only been 10 days of the month and I have purchased way too many books and I haven't done a lot of reading.

In total I have got 9 books.

Veronica Mars A Thousand Dollar Tan Line by Rob Thomas and Jennifer Graham. Published March 2014. This book takes place after what happened in the movie. I have already finished the book and written a review if you want to read it you can see it here.

Dorothy Must Die by Danielle Paige. Published April 2014. A girl by the name of Amy Gumm is the second girl from Kansas to enter OZ and everything that we know about OZ is wrong. Good Witches are bad and Evil witches are good and Amy has a job to do...kill Dorothy.
I have seen this book on Booktube and I was very interested in the story and the giant twist that is, Dorothy is evil and the Wicked Witch of the West is good.

Scarlet (2nd book in The Lunar Chronicles)by Marissa Meyer. Published February 2013. Scarlet's grandmother is missing and the only person who can help her is…

Veronica Mars: The Thousand Dollar Tan Line by Rob Thomas and Jennifer Graham

Veronica Mars is an American TV series created by Rob Thomas. This show followed a 16 year old girl by the name of Veronica Mars (played by Kristen Bell). The show was set in the fictional own of Neptune, California. Her best friend, Lily Kane, was murdered when she was fifteen. At the time her father Keith Mars (played by Enrico Colantoni) was the Sheriff of Neptune but then lost his job when he was convinced that Lily's father had killed her.
After that, her dad became a Private Investigator and Veronica spent most of her time there learning everything she knew. Veronica became obsessed over her best friends death and started searching her own answers through the case finding closure. During her Junior year, she was able to solve many cases revolving events happening at school, she was able to out smart the Sheriff of Neptune and was able to show no fear towards the 09ers.
But she also made friends with the new boy Wallace, her best friend and source of info at times of need, Ma…

My Favorite Books of 2014

So here are my Favorite books (that I have read) in 2014.

The Burn for Burn Series by Jenny Han and Siobhan Vivian would have to be my most favorite books series this year. I love the concept of the story and how these three girls become friends along the way. I enjoyed the second book Fire with Fire because the revenge is just on one person. I like Lilia mostly, she is this girl who shields herself to her friends and becomes this different girl. I like her moments with Reeve because, you get to see this lovable, caring side of her.

A great fantastic read for me this year. I read this book because I saw the movie trailer. I couldn't put this book down. The story is all based through exchanged of letters, e-mails and instant messaging. It was so much fun to read. I haven't seen the film but when the DVD comes out I will definitely do a review.

Another book that I bought because I saw the movie trailer. This book is such a great read. I know the movie plot story is very different …

Everneath By Brodi Ashton

Everneath by Brodi Ashton. Published in August 2012.
This book follows Nikki Beckett. On the surface she was only gone for six months but to her it felt like a century. Nikki has returned from the Everneath knowing that she has only six months left on the surface before she is sent back. Nikki tries really hard to fit in back at school, knowing she doesn't have a lot of time left. Cole tries any sort of reason to make her understand where she belongs and who she belongs to.
The Everneath is what you would describe as hell. This book is set from the Greek Myth about Persephone and how she spent six months with Hades in hell.
I loved this book, I couldn't put it down. This book was a fantastic book to read. It was the sort of book that I have been dying (not literally) to read. I am obsessed with Greek Mythology, I was always on the internet searching anything about Greek Mythology and I once even tried (attempt) to write a Teen Fiction book with Greek Mythology creatures.
I think …
